karlakay.net started one day in May when I got really bored (and just wasn't in the mood to update my current site lovelyglitters.com) So, I opened up a new Notepad document and just started playing around with some divs. I've always wanted to have my own domain, (Vickie @ strawberryswirl.net bought LG and gave it to me) so when I actually liked the little div layout I came up with, I decided I should go ahead and buy a domain name and make a brand new site. But, since I didn't have a credit card (and I never use my debit card to pay for anything online) my friend, Mookee( just his nickname ) offered to pay for it with his credit card. ♥ I still need to pay him back. lol. But before we could buy the domain, I had to decide on a name for it. A few of the first ideas were Awklekioh.net, then Donley which are both nicknames of mine. But I wasn't really excited about either of them. Then I asked all my friends what they thought the name should be and we all agreed on karlakay.net. Really original right? lol. Not really.. it's just my first and middle name, but hey! It's got a ring to it. Plus I wanted to use it as a blog, so why not use my own name for the domain? :-P So that's how karlakay.net came to be.
What I offer here at karlakay.net is everything that I'm personally interested in. The graphics usually reflect my daily moods, or ideas, and interests. Example would definitely have to be my Antilove page of glitters. lol. Hopefully that helps to make my site original and a little more interesting to my visitors. I also wanted this site to be an entertaining and eye pleasing place to come and get help, and tutorials for making your own website. I love helping people with things, and if you emailed me and asked for help, most likely I'd offer all the help I could. (Unless I was just totally swamped with school at the moment.) So feel free to email me, tag the site, or comment my blog and I'll do what I can to make this site a good resource for you!
